Multiple orders will usually receive discounted postage unless the books are all large and heavy in which case they will may have to go via Courier for which the maximum charge is £8.50 in the UK. Where Postage costs are above those shown in the Shopping Cart you will be advised before any payment is taken from your card etc. All books are posted UNINSURED at buyer's risk. Please advise if you want insurance but note this will greatly increase the postage costs. All UK orders are covered by standard Royal Mail compensation (£35.00).

7/ Overseas Postage - please enquire for prices (we can offer very good prices for economy airmail to most countries on larger orders - especially USA/Canada/EU from £4.00 per kg on larger orders etc). Insured postage is not generally available on overseas orders (it will usually be more than the value of the book). We aim to mail orders within 48 hours of payment being received. No liability whatsoever can be accepted for Overseas orders.

8/ We try to ensure that all titles shown on-line are available, but books sometimes sell within hours of listing and will remain on the catalogue for a day until next update, therefore all orders are subject to availability. If you wish to order a book and pay by cheque please e-mail first to confirm availability - please do not send payment before checking availability and postage costs! Phone Orders can be placed between 1000 - 1700hrs please (Mon to Sat only).

9/ We pride ourselves that all our orders are mailed in proper cardboard mailers (or boxes with bubblewrap padding for larger orders) for maximum security. We mail over 5000 parcels a year to all corners of the World and in over 15 years only a handful of parcels have ever gone missing and we have virtually no instances of books being damaged in transit!.

Returns and refunds

Under the EU Directive on Consumer Rights (2011/83/EC, effective 13 June 2014) customers in the UK and EU countries may cancel their purchase and return a book as long as they contact us within fourteen (14) calendar days of receiving it.  If you wish to return a book, please email or phone us stating that you wish to cancel (details on our Contact Us page). You do not have to give a reason. If you wish to cancel, for whatever reason, you must pay the cost of the return postage. Books must be returned in the same condition as that in which they were received, and preferably in the original packaging. If you return the book in a worse condition than we sent it to you, we will reduce the refund by the amount the value of the book has fallen. The book must be received within fourteen (14) calendar days of you advising us that you wish to cancel.

We recommend the use of a trackable method when returning a book as no refund will be processed until we have received the book. Keep your proof of posting safe. If a book is lost in transit when being returned, we will accept sight of your proof of posting as proof that the book has been returned and will then be able to refund.

Refunds will be made within fourteen (14) calendar days of receipt of the book and using the same payment method used to buy the book. Unless there is reason to make a deduction from the refund, you will be refunded the purchase price and any postage and packing charge that has been made for basic delivery. If you requested a more expensive delivery method, we will still refund only the basic delivery charge.

Any book supplied to customers in any country may be returned for a full refund (including return postage) if it is found to be materially defective (unless sold with defects noted or as a reading copy) or in a materially difference condition to that advertised. In these cases customers must advise defects within 7 days of receipt and contact us before returning items.
