Account of the life and inventions of Issac Doods and his son Thomas Weatherburn Dodds. Issac was an early apprentice of Geo. Stephenson and became a railway engineer in his own right with a works in Sheffield. His son followed in his footsteps. This is the only account of their works, although it is not entirely accurate in all respects and the author somewhat over exagerates their importance as engineers.160pp + photos. Fine copy in the original red cloth. Very rare (not to be confused with the modern print on demand paperback reprint!) .
