Undated [but c.1892] 1st edition. One of the great classics of 19th century boating, being an account of a journey through the Netherlands and Northern Germany to Prague in a Norfolk Wherry in 1890-1. 406pp plus two fold out maps and drawings by the Authors daughter. A VG copy in the original decorative cloth boards. A little spotting to edges, maps clean but with a few tears, bookplate of Loretto Abbey (Dublin) to front paste down. A little edge wear to boards, but overall a fine copy of the rare original edition of this classic.
